Our Mission
The mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph Mission & Ministries Foundation is to build resources to support the congregation, its ministries, and other like-minded organizations. While the fundamental work of the SSJ Mission & Ministries Foundation is fundraising, its ultimate purpose is to unite with community members to advance the SSJ mission and continue responding to the ever-changing needs of the era and area for generations to come.

Our Staff
Almitra “Almi” serves as executive director of the Sisters of St. Joseph Mission & Ministries Foundation. Almi oversees all aspects of the Foundation, including strategy, management and execution of all fundraising, development and grant administration working closely with SSJ leadership and the SSJMMF Board of Trustees.
Prior to joining the SSJMMF:
- Gannon University, director of stewardship and planned giving, campaign director, mission advancement officer, and associate vice president
- Erie Playhouse, executive director
- VMA faculty member, director of development, and musical director

Cathy serves as chief vision officer of the Sisters of St. Joseph Mission & Ministries Foundation. Cathy is responsible for raising major gifts and documenting estate gifts.
Prior to joining the SSJMMF:

- Hamot Medical Center, registered nurse, head nurse, nursing supervisor

Carol serves as development coordinator and database administrator of the Sisters of St. Joseph Mission & Ministries Foundation. Carol is responsible for all facets of the database and gift recording; also, research and special event planning and execution.
